Dear friend,
for months the global financial crisis has made headlines in the media and dominated the news. Something that started far away from our shores has increasingly made itself felt nearer to home. As jobs are being cut and the prices go up it feels as if each new day brings another historical low in parameters of economic success.
In Eastern Europe the situation is even worse. Poverty and despair have a devastating effect on families, children and the elderly. More than ever before they rely on our solidarity to help them. we are so grateful for your faithful support over the past few months. Thanks to your gifts, many children were happily surprised by an unexpected Christmas gift…

Film: Children of Moldova Annabel Verbeke, a 3rd year student at the Brussels Film Academy RITS, edited the film footage made by the Belgian TV during our last visit to Moldova in February 2008. The result: a beautiful short film. Click here to watch it!
